  Type data:

   Holotype whereabouts unknown ♂, unknown; Donovan did state that it was figured with flowers from New Holland but that the moth came from there was only an inference.

   Holotype whereabouts unknown ♀ (Tindale (1932: 523) illustrated a supposed holotype from the Macleay Museum, Sydney), unknown; Donovan did state that it was figured with flowers from New Holland, but that the moth came from there was only an inference.

  Type data:

   Syntype(s) AM ♂ ♀, Ash Island (now part of Kooragang Island in the Hunter River, NSW) is mentioned specifically but moths reported 'over the greater part of the country'.

Ecological Descriptors

Larvae subterranean. Larval foodplants: roots of trees (A.W. Scott). C.G.L. Gooding (unpublished) considered they feed on roots of Eucalyptus spp. (Myrtaceae).
