Introduction
The ‘atripalpis-argentata’ complex is highly variable and historically has caused nomenclatural and taxonomic confusion. Simonsen 2018 resurrected the species argentata into the accepted genus synonym to form Abantiades argentata (Tindale, 1932), but notes comprehensive description and molecular analysis is needed to better distinguish the species from Abantiades atripalpis (Walker, 1856).
