Introduction
The family Austroleptidae was regarded as a subfamily of the Rhagionidae, but has been elevated to family rank by Stuckenberg (2001). It comprises a single genus, Austroleptis, with three Australian species and seven from Chile and Brazil. The family is uncommon and the larval habits remain unknown.
