Introduction

This species is closely related to W. caprilesi Webb with only colour differences and minor genitalia differences separating the two species, both of which are known from Dunk Island in the wet tropics of North Queensland. This species is only known from Dunk Island while W. caprilesi is also known from the mainland.

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be distinguished by the brown markings on the pronotum and forewings (Webb 1983).
