Genus Palutrus Smith, 1959

Type species:
Palutrus reticularis Smith, 1959 by original designation.
Introduction
The genus is in need of revision. At least one species of uncertain identity is known from Australia. Allen & Smith-Vaniz (1994) recorded Palutrus pruinosus (Jordan & Seale, 1906) from Cocos (Keeling) Island, but the record needs confirmation.
