Diagnosis

Head with nude vertexal foveae; antennal clubs weakly formed by apical 2-3 antennomeres; with setose lateral postantennal pits; ventrolateral margins beneath eyes carinate and strongly angulate, angulations with setose sulci; median gular carina distinct but low. Pronotum with lateral antebasal foveae, median antebasal fovea variably present; wrinkled band at base distinct to narrow, obscured in heavily punctate species. Elytra with 2 basal foveae. Visible tergite 1 (IV) lacking mediobasal foveae or impression; visible sternite 2 (IV) with shallow basolateral sulci.
