[311] (Note #651: Gaede (1937-38) in his noctuid contributions to 'Seitz' used the infrasubspecific names first introduced by Strand (1917). In most cases Gaede (1937-38) gives these names in the Chloephorinae no explicit rank but where he does he calls them 'forms'. They appear in the text as trinomials. In the cases where no explicit rank is given it is reasonable to accept Gaede's treatment as consistent and rank them as 'forms'. Under the Code, Art. 45(g) these are of subspecific rank taking the authorship of Gaede. Earias huegeliana Gaede, 1937 and Earias rubicundialba Gaede, 1937, were elevated to subspecific rank simultaneously. The choice of the first reviser is here exercised to establish E. huegeliana Gaede as the senior name)
