Diagnosis

Rich yellow brown except for dark brown anteclypeus, black transverse muscle impressions on frontoclypeus, cream anterior margin on head and line of six distinct patches around anterior margin of crown. Tegmen yellow brown paling to whitish hyaline on portion anterior to M1+2. Face of head with lora enlarged but not bulbous, overlapping anteclypeus laterally but not meeting medially. Gena raised at base of lorum near frontoclypeus. Frontoclypeus evenly convex, shagreen-rugose. Frontoclypeal sutures extending above ocelli to anterior part of crown. Crown apically roundly obtusely angulate, shagreen with a short median transverse depression immediately behind front margin, a few wrinkles laterally and a well developed coronal suture. Pronotum transversely striate, flat. Scutellum shagreen. Tegmen with M3+4 united with CuA1 closer to apical margin than to M-Cu crossvein. Tegmen with four apical cells (Fletcher & Condello 1994).

Fletcher & Condello (1994) also described and figured the male genitalia.

This species bears a distinct, although short, coronal suture. The subgenital plates are almost entirely conjoined with only a short sulcus apically. The shapes of the aedeagus and the paramere are also distinctive.
