Introduction

This species is only known from the Narrabri region of New South Wales. Its crown is more anteriorly rounded than in other species of the genus.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder (associated flora: Gossypium sp. [MALVACEAE]).

 

Diagnosis

Dorsal surface, pale straw colour. Head spatulate, slightly curving upwards apically. Face, frontoclypeus convex, tapering posteriorly; vertex concave apically. crown and pronotum punctate, the coronal suture forming a low ridge. Tegmen pale hyaline brown; veins pale brown, prominent; clavus punctate. Length ♀ 7.7 mm; of crown 2 mm (Evans 1977).
