Syntype(s) INM 5 specimens (of 23 specimens listed 5 at least are lodged in INM), NW of Eagle Island, Co. Mayo, NE Atlantic Slope. - Thysanopoda pectinata Hansen, H.J. 1905. Preliminary report on the Schizopoda collected by H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco during the cruise of the "Princess Alice" in the year 1904. Bulletin du Musée Océanographique de Monaco 30: 1-32 [16 fig. 12].

North Atlantic-Indo-Pacific Oceans, Subarctic and Subantarctic (in Pacific between about 35º–50ºN and 40º–60ºS, in the Atlantic from 35º–70ºN, and from South African waters near 30º–40ºS).
