Introduction

This species is very close in male genitalia to P. nymphias (Kirkaldy) and P. viridiceps (Evans) but differs in certain features of the male genitalia. It has been found at numerous locations in the Brisbane area of SE Queensland and in the Sydney basin of New South Wales.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species is closely related to P. nymphias (Kirkaldy) but can be distinguished by its mroe greenish colour without brown pronotal spots and by its slightly different male abdominal apodemes and male and female genitalia (Webb 1983).
