Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.4-1.5 mm. Body with setae appressed. Head smooth, with only a few punctures visible at occiput; subocular angulations prominent in lateral view, with setose openings to internal cavity on both anterior and posterior faces of angulation. Pronotum coarsely punctate. Elytra with punctures sparser and shallower. Male eyes with about 20 facets; with head semicircularly and broadly impressed over most of vertex to near antennal bases, with carinate ridge at anterior margin of vertex between antennal bases. Mesotrochanters with small ventral spine near bases. Metasternum with broad, oval, shallow impression in apical half; apex extending between metacoxae as thin shelf, with small median longitudinal carina near anterior margin of impression. Female eyes with about 15 facets.
