Diagnosis

Head with nude vertexal foveae; antennal clubs weakly formed by apical 3 antennomeres; with lateral postantennal pits; carinate ventrolateral margins beneath eyes usually strongly angulate in lateral view, angulations with setose groove or pit; median gular carina distinct but low. Pronotum with nude median and lateral antebasal foveae subequal in size, lateral antebasal foveae setose; with coarsely sculptured area forming band at base. Elytra lacking foveae. Visible tergite 1 (IV) lacking mediobasal foveae and impression; visible sternite 2 (IV) with basolateral sulci indistinct.
