Diagnosis

Males of C. gatangel resemble those of C. ewani, with the median sternal concavity occupying nearly the whole sternal length. However, males of C. gatangel can be easily separated by their shorter cheliceral fangs, their widely triangular field of clavate setae, and the cone-shaped cymbium-bulb complex with a thin, medially bent embolus which is incised at base.
