  Type data:

   Holotype AM ♂ (coll.: 4.ii.1971, M.I. Nikitin), Cabramatta, New South Wales.

 

Introduction

This endemic species has been recorded in eastern coastal districts of the Australian mainland from SE Queensland to the Sydney region of New South Wales. It is the larger of the two known species. The female was described by Stevens (1990) who also documented variation in the male genitalia across the range of the species.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Coloration apricot yellow and pale brown. Head and thorax apricot yellow. Tegmen pale hyaline brown or vitreous, veins pale or dark brown. Length ♂ 7 mm (Evans 1981).
