Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

Diagnosis

Length 1.4 mm. Head with vertex smooth medially, increasingly rugose laterally to basolateral angles; pronotal disc smooth, coarsely rugose near lateral margins; elytra and abdomen smooth. Head with indistinct curved transverse carina at base that fits against pronotum when head raised; genae on venter with sparse long setae along posterolateral angles appressed, radiating medially, setae 0.16 mm. Pronotum with median antebasal fovea bracketed by short longitudinal carinae cutting across antebasal sulcus. Male eyes with about 50 facets; head bearing pair of large medial swellings near base, anterior margin of swellings defined by deep biarcuate sulcus; protrochanters with prominent spines; first visible sternite (III) with narrow prominent tubercle at middle extending posteriorly, visible sternite 2 (IV) progressively tumid medially to prominent median lamina on 3 (V).
