Ahyong & Low (2013: 597) determined that Oratosquillina quinquedentata (Brooks, 1886), ought to take precedence over the objective synonym Cancer (Mantis) digitalis Herbst, 1793, despite the latter being the older name. This reversal of precedence is in accordance with ICZN Article 23.9.2.
