Holotype QM ♂ (coll.: 31.iii.1977, I.D. Galloway), Brisbane, Queensland.
Introduction
This species is found in SE Queensland with a single specimen recorded just over the border in New South Wales at Tweed Heads. Webb (1983) considered it to be very close to the two oriental species B. orientalis Freytag & Morrison, from Thailand, and B. chinensis Freytag & Morrison, from southern China, and possibly even being conspecific.

Diagnosis
This species is very similar to B. orientalis and B. chinensis, differing only slightly in the shape of the aedeagus which has the lateral apophyses situated more anteriorly and the basal stem of the dorsal bifurcate process shorter. (Webb 1983). Whether or not these are all synonyms, the species can be differentiated from other Australian species by the presence of a pair of long dorsoanterior aedeagal processes and by the length of the dorsal and ventral arms of the aedeagus.
