Tribe Limoisini Lallemand, 1963

Compiler and date details

10 February 2011 - Murray J. Fletcher

Introduction

Lallemand (1963) included five genera in this tribe one of which, Hellerides from PNG, was transferred to the Lophopidae by Liang (1995) leaving four genera. Erilla Distant is monotypic and endemic in Australia and Neolieftinckana Lallemand has been doubtfully recorded in Australia but probably does not occur here. Lallemand (1963) records Neolieftinckana from New Guinea and Indonesia (Aru Island). The other genera are mainly in New Guinea although Limois Stål is distributed from India and Manchuria through the Himalayas to southern Russia.

Diagnosis

Sur les élytres, la suture ne se bifurque pas, elle ferme le clavus; le tronc commun des 2 nervures de ce dernier est ordinairement assez court et se termine toujours dans le bord sutural (Lallemand 1963).
