Introduction

This species, recorded from the eastern coastline from SE Queensland to the New South Wales south coast, was only tentatively separated from R. crofta Webb by Webb (1983).

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Colour similar to R. crofta Webb but head and thorax without distinct brown markings, sometimes orangey yellow; scutellum with or without distinct brown markings. Hind legs with or without brown markings on posterior surface. Ovipositor brown, turning to yellow or scarlet distally. Male genitalia similar to those of R. crofta but subgenital plates narrower distally with ventroapical heel more prominent and styles with apical process short and preapical angle moderately wide (Webb 1983).
