Introduction

This species is found along coastal Queensland from the wet tropics in the north to the Brisbane region in the south extending across the New South Wales border to the Tweed River.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Yellow, marked with brown, including a small spot on vertex near to each eye, a crescent-shaped mark above each ocellus, a series of transverse bars laterally on clypeus, an anterior patch each side of midline of pronotum and a few patches more anteriorly against vertex, and basal triangles and a pair of central spots on scutellum; markings sometimes indistinct. Forewing veins brown with whitish patches (Webb 1983).
