Ecological Descriptors

Adult: diurnal, florivore, volant.

Larva: wood-borer.

Extra Ecological Information

Brooks (1965, 1969) recorded this species from "blossom" of Eucalyptus ochrophloia and E. acmenoides, and Peterson (1989) recorded the nominate subspecies from Leptospermum and Baeckea species and ssp. macqueeni from flowering Angophora costata and Eucalyptus spp.
