Type data:
Holotype QM ♀ (coll.: 1-7.xi.1981, 1580 m (ASL), rainforest, moss on rocks and trees, QM Berlesate #347), Bellenden Ker summit TV station, Queensland [17°16'S 145°51'E].
Introduction
Each species of Myerslopella has a discrete distribution within the wet tropics of North Queensland. This one is found at 1500 m near the summit of Mt Bellenden Ker. A second species is found at lower elevations in the same mountain range. The name refers to the heart shaped dorsum of the tegmina. The species is the largest in the genus.

All stages: litter, phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Crown as wide as pronotum and 50% longer, deeply excavated between lateral lobes; pronotal "paranotal" lobes absent; humeral angles of tegmina prominent, forming heart-shaped, weakly concave dorsal surface; tips of tegmina emarginate; abdominal tubercles forming four widely spaced rows plus two partial rows near margins of tergites at base of abdomen; abdomen weakly inflated with low tubercles not forming prominent crest in lateral aspect. Male connective triangular, aedeagus evenly curved throughout length, tip blunt, style tip acute. Length ♂ 2.7 mm, ♀ 3.0–3.2 mm (Hamilton 1999).
