SYSTEMATICS

Very close to Cerococcus stellatus (see Morrison, H. & Morrison, E.R. 1927. The Maskell species of scale insects of the subfamily Asterolecaniinae. Proceedings of the United States National Museum 71: 1–67).

STRUCTURE

Female test is reddish brown in color and has white waxy projections. Body is pear shaped (see Lambdin, P.L. & Kosztarab, M. 1977. Morphology and systematics of the adult females of the genus Cerococcus (Homoptera: Coccoidea: Cerococcidae). Research Division Bulletin Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg 128: 1–252.
