- Mangilia nanisca Hervier, J. 1897. Descriptions d'espèces nouvelles de Mollusques provenant de l'Archipel de la Nouvelle Calédonie. Journal de Conchyliologie 45: 47-69, pls 2-3 [55, 186, pl. 8, fig. 5] [this species was treated by Hedley (1922, p. 302) as Anacithara nanisca but Kilburn (1994, p.179) said Hedley had erred in this placement, but Kilburn did not provide a replacement position. Sysoev (2013, in litt) placed the species in Mangelliidae, probably in Pyrgocythara].

[Pl. 31, fig. 284] [Kilburn (1994, p. 179) said "Hedley was probably also incorrect in referring here [ie to Anacithara] Pleurotoma undaticosta Reeve, 1845 ......… the fact that the type … is now lost precludes any possibility of recognising this taxon"].
