Introduction

Each species of Myerslopella has a discrete distribution within the wet tropics of North Queensland although this species overlaps with the distribution of M. taylori Evans in the Mossman area.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: litter, phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Crown wider than pronotum and twice as long, deeply notched between lateral lobes; pronotal "paranotal" lobes weak, lower than upper level of eyes; humeral angles of tegmina absent, tegmina evenly curved laterad, collar-like; tips of tegmina not produced; abdominal tubercles forming four equally spaced rows; abdomen weakly inflated, with tubercles large and dorsal, forming prominent crest in lateral aspect. Males unknown. Length: ♀ 2.6–2.7 mm (Hamilton 1999).
