Austral Avian Records 2(5): 83-107 [Date published 24 Sep 1914] [100] [type material from Jay Waterhole, MacDonnell Ras, Central Australia, is intergradient between Aphelocephala leucopsis leucopsis (Gould, 1841) and A. l. castaneiventris (Milligan, 1903), unlike most central Australian populations, which lack clear traces of russet flanks].
