Diagnosis

Head narrower than pronotum; head with basolateral angles broadly rounded in dorsal view, in lateral view with basal angles of head nearly square; usually with at least anterior margin of vertex between antennal insertions closely punctate; head venter broadly swollen. Prothorax in lateral view with paranotal carinae straight from apex to above procoxae. Lateral metasternal foveae present. Abdomen with visible tergite 1 (IV) longest, shorter than length of 2-3 (V-VI) combined.
