Introduction
This species has been incorrectly referred to as Zalipais inscripta (Tate, 1899), which is a misidentification. Kershaw (1955) realised that the species was misidentified and unnamed, and descibed it as Zalipais laseroni Kershaw, 1955. The incorrect identification was widely used in the Australian literature during the first half of the 20th century. Tate's species is now recognised as Vitrinella inscripta (Tate, 1899).
