Extra Distribution Information
Distributed throughout the Great Barrier Reef, this species has also been recorded from the Torres Strait, Western Australia, the Great Australian Bight; and allegedly Sri Lanka and Indo-Malayan region (Aru Ils Indonesia and Vietnam). Specimens from the GBR were collected in depths ranging from 10 to 87 m, from predominantly sandy and carbonate dominated substrata. Records from Western Australia and the Great Australian Bight might constitute a separate species, but yet to be verified using molecular data.
