Holotype NTM P.65134 dissected, shell broken, North East Island (= Amburrkba), North East Isles, Groote Eylandt (= Ayangkidarrba), NT [13°38'13.2"S, 136°56'34.5"E.].
Paratype(s) NTM P.62888 14 specimens, same data as Holotype; AM C.548628 4 specimens, same data as Holotype.
Introduction
Over-browsing and habitat destruction by feral Javan Rusa Deer (Rusa timorensis) on North East Island may potentially place Xanthomelon amurndamilumila at risk of extinction on that island.
