Subfamily WINNERTZIINAE
Introduction
The subfamily has been separated from the traditional Porricondylinae and hypothesized to be the sister group to the Porricondylinae s. str. + Cecidomyiinae by Jaschhof and Jaschhof (2013), who also provided a generic revision (excluding fossils) which is the basis for the arrangement presented here.
Previous authors treated the group as a component of the traditional Porricondylinae.
