Introduction

Vitellidelos costata can be distinguished from V. dulcis and Montidelos species by the much stronger radial ribbing of the teleoconch.

Diagnosis

Shell small, yellow to colourless with dark reddish-brown steaks in some individuals, discoidal with flattened spire; protoconch shiny, with weak radial growth ridges, teleoconch with prominent, closely spaced regular ribs above, underside with weak spiral grooves; umbilicus very wide, U-shaped; diameter 8.5mm.
