Not available (nomen nudum) from Gray, 1840, Synopsis of the contents of the British Museum, ed. 42, first printing: 150; nor from Gray, 1842, Ibid., ed. 44: 80].
    Type species:
     Hippagus cardiiformis Sowerby, 1844 by monotypy.
