Introduction

Vallonia is a Holarctic genus but several species have been introduced widely throughout the temperate world. In Australia it has been recorded from the south-east corner of the continent.

Diagnosis

Shell very small, smooth and silky, discoidal, last whorl flares out at edge; aperture circular, lip greatly thickened and reflected; umbilicus wide. Colour translucent white.
