     Holotype ANIC adult (with associated pupal pelt on slide mount), Ami, 10 miles NW of Maprik, Sepik District, Papua New Guinea.
    Paratype(s) ANIC adult (with associated pupal pelt on slide mount; type series was reared from larvae, see Lee, D.J., Hicks, M.M., Griffiths, M., Debenham, M.L., Marks, E.N., Bryan, J.H. & Russell, R.C. 1989. Larva: aquatic.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult taken in light, carbon dioxide and truck traps; larva collected from a slow running stream, sandy stream, cut-off pools in forested creek and drainage-line of raw sewage effluent; adults collected while biting a frog.
