Species Unplaced chersochlora (Meyrick, 1922)

Collingwood : CSIRO Publishing Vol. 4 xiv 529 pp. & CD-ROM. [112] (Note #168: Phthorimaea chersochlora (Meyrick, 1922) was described from a very poor specimen from the Kimberleys, WA. It was placed in Sphagiocrates Meyrick by Povoloy (1977). Sphagiocrates Meyrick was included in the Gelechiidae by Nye & Fletcher (1991) but in the Oecophoridae (Xyloryctinae) by Robinson et al. (1994). P. chersochlora (Meyrick) is definitely in the Gelechiidae and unrelated to Sphagiocrates lusoria (Meyrick) the type species of the genus. The species was correctly moved out of Phthorimaea Meyrick by Povolny (1977))
