Introduction
Specimens identified as Tyrophagus communis were recorded from Australia by Fan & Zhang (2007). However, this and several other specific names are the subject of taxonomic discussion. The status of the name Tyrophagus communis is presently unresolved. See Tyrophagus putrescentiae for more information.
