Species Tydeus pinicolus Oudemans, 1929

Introduction
This species was recorded from Australia by Thor (1933), under the name Triophtydeus pinicolus. This was probably an error, and it seems unlikely that this European species actually occurs in Australia. It was listed by André (1985) as of uncertain status, but not belonging to the genus Triophtydeus. I have listed it here as a species of Tydeus, until this situation can be resolved.
