[242] mentioned the 'Holotype winged adult, morphotype soldiers of large form and worker' of 'Eutermes mareebensis' 'in the National Museum, Melbourne'. This constitutes a lectotype designation. However, the original type series consisted of major soldiers and workers only, the alate being described in Hill, G.F. 1929. Notes on Australian termites (Isoptera). Descriptions of new species. Proc. R. Soc. Vict. ns 41: 85–96 pl. xiv [90]. The designation of an alate as lectotype was, therefore, invalid), Mareeba, QLD.
