• Trygonorrhina Müller, J. & Henle, F.G.J. 1838. On the generic characters of cartilaginous fishes, with descriptions of new genera. Magazine of Natural History ns 2(7): 33-37, 88-91 [dated 1837] [90] [no included species; named because it had mixed characters of Trygon and Rhina and possibly misspelled in the original description and subsequently the name emended without explanation to Trygonorhina by Müller & Henle, 1841; we follow current useage in recognising Trygonorrhina].
