Diagnosis

For Trichaeta australis and T. fielderi: not more than six setae on each side of the segment, arranged in pairs; or exceptionally 7 setae. Metandric. Meronephric, (always?) with large numbers of preseptal funnels per segment caudally. Prostates racemose. Two pairs of spermathecae.
