Comment: Plötz in the original description did not indicate the number of specimens described, but the description is consistent with one and he gave a single registration number; Sands, D.P.A., Miller, C.G., Kerr, J.F.R. & Atkins, A.F. 1984. The specific status of Trapezites praxedes (Plötz) (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae): previously considered to be a subspecies of T. maheta (Hewitson). Australian Entomological Magazine 11(2): 27–33 [29] (referred to a holotype, its labels and repository).

Larva: herbivore (associated flora: Lomandra confertifolia (F.M.Bailey) Fahn [XANTHORRHOEACEAE]; Lomandra obliqua (Thunb.) J.F.Macbr. [XANTHORRHOEACEAE]; Lomandra longifolia Labill. [XANTHORRHOEACEAE]).
Extra Ecological Information
Eggs laid singly at base of leaves of food plant, larva builds silk-lined shelter at base of food plant, feeds at dusk, pupa in larval shelter or in a nearby curled dead leaf, adult flight rapid, close to the ground.
