   Lectotype AM KL11182 ♂, Wandin South, VIC (Waterhouse in original description recorded Gisborne, Toora and Wandin South, VIC).
  Paralectotype(s) AM KL10183 1♀, Monbulk, VIC (Waterhouse did not mention this locality in the original description; if the locality label is correct, the specimen may not be a paralectotype); AM KL11183 ♀; AM KL10184 ♀
  Comment: Waterhouse in the original description described both sexes and stated that he had male and female types.

  Waterhouse, G.A. 1903. Descriptions and notes of Australian Hesperidae, chiefly Victorian. Victorian Naturalist 20(4): 52-57 [56] (originally stated that the types were in the Lyell collection; his mention of these two types is not individual so they must be regarded as syntypes but this automatically excluded the other specimens mentioned by Waterhouse from the type series); Waterhouse, G.A. 1937. Australian Hesperiidae. VII. Notes on the types and type localities. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 62(3–4): 107-125 [112] (stated that the holotype was in the AM); Peters, J.V. 1971. A Catalogue of the Type Specimens of the Hesperioidea and Papilionoidea (Lepidoptera) in the Australian Museum. Greenwich, NSW : Australian Entomological Press 36 pp. [9] (incorrectly referred to a holotype and confirmed Waterhouse's comment that the type was in the AM, also listed 'paratypes', but these were excluded by Waterhouse in the original description and have no status); Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L. 2001. Ecological Descriptors

Larva: herbivore (associated flora: Lomandra filiformis (Thunb.) Britten [XANTHORRHOEACEAE] Wattle Mat-rush).

Extra Ecological Information

Eggs laid singly on undersurface of food plant, larva builds silk-lined shelters from dead leaves at base of food plant, feeds at night, pupa in larval shelter at base of or near to food plant.
