Ecological Descriptors

Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic, predator, tree hole.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult not attracted to humans but feeds on plant juices and nectar; larva found in tree holes and tree crevices and artificial containers such as tanks, barrels, tyres, tins and small wells; larvae are predacious on other mosquitoes and cannibalistic.
