Introduction
This species, from coastal areas of North Queensland, the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia, is immediately recognisable by the longitudinal stripe along the centre of the tegmen. Whether all populations across this range are conspecific needs to be examined.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Testaceous, keels of head in front of eyes black; lateral margins of pronotum and scutellum (exterior to keels) and abdomen mostly, blackish brown. Tegmina hyaline, veins pallid, a longitudinal blackish brown entire stripe broadening apically. Legs brownish testaceous, narrowly striped with blackish brown. Length: 10–12 mill. (Kirkaldy 1906, as Thanatodictya (Lucinda) lucindae)
Body above ochraceous, with a broad lateral fuscous fascia on each side, from behind eyes to near apex of abdomen; body beneath and legs ochraceous, margins of the sternum fuscous. Tegmina ochraceous, with a broad central longitudinal fuscous fascia, widened at apex. Wings hyaline, with a large fuscous spot at apex. Structure of cephalic process much as in preceding species (Dictyophora praeferrata, now Thanatodictya (Thanatodictya) praeferrata). Long, excl. tegm., 9 mm. Long. head, 3 mm. Long. tegm. 7 mm (Distant 1893)
