Telicota krefftii argilus Waterhouse, G.A. 1933. Australian Hesperiidae. IV. Notes and descriptions of new forms. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 58(5–6): 461-466 [466] [incorrect original spelling of krefftii as kreffti].

Comment: Evans (1949, p. 399) gave the type locality as Baudin Island by stating that ‘♂ Baudin Is.: J. J. Walker : type B.M.’; however, apart from placing a BMNH type label on one of the nine specimens from Baudin Island he did not designate a holotype. Edwards et al. (2001) referred to a holotype and gave type information, but Braby (2012) interpreted this as a lectotype designation since Evans did not explicitly state which specimen among the type series was the holotype.

Records of the Western Australian Museum 27: 161-175 [Date published Dec. 2012] (showed that T. ancilla baudina is a junior synonym of T. augias krefftii, which is currently treated as a subspecies of T. augias, based on examination of Evans' type material in the BMNH)
