Diagnosis
Carapace elongate ovate, rather inflate, especially in posterior half. Dorsal margin evenly convex, with prominent cardinal angle especially on left valve. Ventral margin nearly straight. Anterior end broadly rounded, posterior end bluntly rounded. Ornamentation — irregular reticulation. Inner lamella moderately wide anteriorly, narrower ventrally and posteriorly. Line of concrescence and inner margin coincide, except anteriorly where deep median vestibulum present. Marginal pore canals moderate in number, branching near outer margin.
