Family TROCHOMETRIDIIDAE Mahunka, 1970
Introduction
The Superfamily Trochometridioidea, Family Trochometridiidae, and genus Trochometridium are known from Australia from a single specimen recorded by Walter et al. (2002) as Trochometridium sp., collected from the bee Lasioglossum eremaea near Alice Springs. The family otherwise consists of a single genus and two species, which are kleptoparasites and fungivores in the nests of ground-nesting bees (Walter et al. 2009).
