  • Trapezidae Lamy, 1920 (1895) [Trapezidae is in prevailing usage, and is conserved under Art. 40.2 of the ICZNwith the priority of Cypricardiidae Dall, 1895; see Bieler et al. (2110: 86, 127). Also, Placed on the Official List by Opinion 1615 (1990: 229), and spelling ruled to be Trapezidae to avoid homonymy with Trapeziidae Miers, 1886 (Crustacea)].

 

Introduction

Trapezidae is the correct spelling for this bivalve family (see Official List, Opinion 615 (1990: 229)). The name Trapeziidae applies to a family of crabs.
